Still starting from the KDE menu by habit, yes. And the project path still is
".", relative to the project file. And I don't think the difference can be
explained by using SuSE 10.3 and the binaries from kdevelop.org until a couple
of months ago...? I could check this on my colleague's machine, trying before
and after upgrading to 3.5.3 on SuSE.

On second thought, resolving symlinks as realpath() does wouldn't be such a
great idea; just getting an absolute path should be sufficient for the proposed
path handling. It doesn't matter if KDevelop uses absolute paths during runtime
as it currently does; the paths just need to be converted when writing and made
absolute when reading the project file.
