Very agreed with Andi in comment 105 (now that I finally have 0.9.4 - I've made
a PPA for it in Ubuntu 8.04 - see https://launchpad.net/~davidf/+archive if
you're interested)
I really like the way that the tag search now autocompletes with available
tags. However, I can't find away to actually apply those tags using the
keyboard, so a lot of the gain of this is lost. Also, having a new tag
automatically assign the parent tags seems wrong.
My wife has been using Facebook's tagging and she finds it very simple
(although it has some bugs) - you go into tagging mode, click on the photo,
start typing and a dropdown is filtered with names etc.
Simplest first step for digikam I think would be:
* Enable keyboard shortcut to enter the tag search text box
* Highlight the first visible matching tag while in tag search box
* Enable keyboard shortcut to select/deselect highlighted tag while in tag
search box
* Enable keyboard shortcut to apply the first matching tag
