Summary: starts automatically and wants to launch wizard at
user's first login
Product: kgpg
Version: unspecified
Platform: Mandriva RPMs
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kde@opensource.sf-tec.de
ReportedBy: fhimpe@pandora.be
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
I create a new user on my system, and log in as that user in a KDE 4.1.1
session. Immediately after log in, a dialog pops up, saying:
You have not set a path to your GnuPG config file.
This may cause some surprising results in KGpg's execution.
Would you like to start KGpg's Wizard to fix this problem?
This is very confusing for new users. Many users don't even know what kgpg and
gnupg are exactly and those that do know this, maybe simply do not want to use
kgpg at all.
This application should not pop up this message automatically. Maybe the best
way is to not autostart kgpg at first login, but let the user start it
explicitely if he wants it. Once the user has configured kgpg properly, it
should start automatically the next time.
