------- Additional Comments From thschuetz gmx net 2008-08-09 19:51 -------
Okay, I tried... I build a debug version of kdeutils and started kgpg with gdb:

------------------------------------------------
> gdb kgpg
GNU gdb 6.8

and "show warranty" for details.
This GDB was configured as "i686-pc-linux-gnu"...
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/kgpg
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread 0xb5cdd700 (LWP 3557)]
QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set

Program exited normally.
(gdb) kgpg(3560): No language dictionaries for the language : "de"

(gdb) backtrace
No stack.
----------------------------------------------
For me it looks like kgpg exits after creating the icon in the system area.
After that I opened the editor and made the crash and the "backtrace" told "No \
stack."

I decided to disable the tray-icon and I found out something interesting: The crash \
only occurs if the keymanager is not opened. I open the keymanagement from the \
tray-icon and the editor from the tray-icon or the key-managment: no crash I close \
the key-management after opening the editor or open the editor directly and only the \
editor from the tray-icon r with "kgpg -d": crash!

I tried to run kgpg with --nofork but I still got no stack :-(
I tried to get some help in #kde and #kde-devel but nobody could help me
(99% were idle - I love it!) So tell me, what have I done wrong and I'll try to make \
it better. You can try to contact me at freenode, my nick is "Murray_B", I think I'll \
be very often online these days...
