The fact that both KWin and Compiz Fusion have the same issues suggests it's a driver issue, rather than \
KWin.  Desktop effects are a KWin feature, so it's unlikely to be plamsa at fault.

We've had lots of issues with nVidia binary drivers in the past, and there are some known problems even \
with the current versions (the lastest release being 173.14.12).

We've notified nVidia of several issues, but we can only wait and see if they fix them.

Marking INVALID, as it is almost certainly an upstream nVidia bug.
