I can't reproduce this when I've set up the mimetypes correctly (ie: I've told KDE to always \
open .jar files with the command line "java -jar"), the behaviour is identical (and correct) in \
folderview and Dolphin.

I suspect the problem is simply that the user hasn't set up KDE to open .jar files with java.

Also, reporter hasn't responded after a month.  So closing WORKSFORME.
