When using KDE SVN HEAD (as of 2/06/2008) with desktop effects enabled, my laptops external screen (VGA to xrandr) goes blank after 10-15 minutes of use. 

The only way to restore the screen is to reboot the computer.

The color of the blank screen varies (green-gray-black).

The bug doesn't show up when desktop effects are disabled, or when using compiz on gnome on the same machine.
