Summary: Allow Track Mouse window effect for non-composite
                    displays
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwin kde org
        ReportedBy: sniffy rogers com

Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I share a single keyboard and mouse across a laptop and desktop using synergy. Sometimes when moving the \
mouse from one machine to the other I "lose" the mouse pointer (screen resolution is different). I \
believe the track mouse effect would help me locate the mouse when this occurs. Unfortunately, the \
machine that this occurs on is not powerful enough to enable desktop effects.

In the more general case, the ability to have desktop effects that don't require composite capabilities \
would be ideal.
