 mtweak: and with it all your other settings, application data, etc. deleting your \
entire $KDEHOME is a very blunt hammer to apply to a problem such as this. removing \
share/config/plasma-appletsrc in this case would've been enough, as would have making \
sure all your plugins were actually compiled against the version of libplasma that \
was installed.
