how did you get the plasma crash when using amsn Luigi? 
i´m using kde 4.0.2,platform x86,fedora 9 rawhide.
I´ve downloaded amsn 0.97 and i can start it without any crash.
I don have a msn account to make amsn connect tho. 

Did you install kde4 over kde 3.5.x by any chance?
