Hi,

I've done some research into the matter today.

Grammatically, the true proper phrasing is "a.m." and "p.m." however all varieties have reached common \
enough usage that it is not a big deal to state it in various other ways.  I feel "am" and "pm" are clear \
enough that it does not warrant a string change, the current strings are acceptable, if not perfect.
