yeah, this sounds as if your application completely detaches from the caller. Is it a \
server application? 

Anyway, you may have more success by attaching to the application instead of starting \
it directly from within kdevelop.

As far as the "internal commands" option goes, its in the context menu of the GDB \
tab, however that tab is only shown when you start the debugger.
