Summary: kpdf embedded support pdfsync
Product: Continue
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Continue
AssignedTo: coolo kde org
ReportedBy: ylevinsen yahoo no
Version: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic (using kile/general)
Compiler: 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu2
OS: 1
My BIG wish for Kile is to support pdfsync or a similar feature to the ForwardDVI (I \
think, never work with dvi-files so never tested it). Kile is by far the best latex \
editor I've seen. However, working with large files, it is annoying that the embedded \
kpdf opens the file at the top. I would wish it could open where my marker is in the \
source file, where the file were last edited, or where it was opened the last time. I \
have tried to find this on the net somewhere, but can't figure it out. I am aware \
that with the option "modern pdflatex", it works if the file is always open \
externally. I prefer the embedded however, if this feature were available. To mention \
it, what I do is a quickbuild with pdflatex (modern) and then view pdf (embedded \
kpdf/embedded pdf).
