Well, that solution was done because people did not have (in KPDF) the page numbers \
and quick page navigation buttons when the side pane was hidden.

Hiding the bar? Sure, just to have bug reports asking for having the page number \
visible when its container is hidden? Better not.

Docking into the toolbar? I'm not a fan of putting into the toolbar what really is \
not a tool, but more an information widget.
