Hi Ian
It worked!!! I did that update of all installed packages (except for the 
kernel - I updated it last week and the wireless card stopped working 
(Atheros card / madwifi driver. I had do downgrade the kernel to 
2.6.22.13-0.3 version)).
I never did such an update of installed packages - used to do it via the 
Online Update.
Thanks to you, I've even learned a new thing now.
