------- I tried using (on the same computer where I have the problem using kubuntu \
packages) the KDE-4-Live live cd, that is OpenSuSE-based, but I get exactly the same \
error from KRunner (and here too, everything works perfectly when I enter a smb:// \
address in dolphin).

Now I'm also able to provide the exact English error message: "smb://host/folder/ is \
a folder, but a file was expected.". Hope this helps.
