As an additional note, a Konsole part will always use the default Konsole profile for \
its settings - which includes the shell to run, color scheme, key bindings and so on.

You can change a running Konsole part to use a different profile, but it isn't \
possible at the moment to start a new session within an existing Konsole part which \
starts with a particular profile.

This would require additional API and modification to the clients.  The other \
features do not require any changes in KDevelop, Kate or Yakuake.
