Please report this bug to your distribution's KDE packagers.

Changing the environment is a distribution-specific task which KDE does not try to \
cover.

You can do this yourself by editing the login script for your shell (i.e. ~/.bashrc). \
Some distributions allow you to edit /etc/profile or similar to do so as well.

But this is not something we can fix.
