We have the problem with KDE 3.5.6-3.fc6 (on Fedora Core 6), too. The internal format \
does affect the convertion from pdf to ps (for us). Our printer expects a4 pages and \
we selected a4 inside the printers configuration. Still the printer complains about \
getting letter format as long as "US Letter" is selected as paper format in \
"Country/Region & Language". Printing (sane) ps files works without problems.
