Version:           artsd 1.5.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs
OS:                Linux

No sound from KDE apps.

KMix appears OK (volumes @ 100% & etc) and there is CPU time being used my artsd but no sound from the speakers. The strange thing is that system-config-soundcard produces the expected sound from its test button but KDE's Control Panel / Sound &
Multimedia / Sound System / Test Sound is silent!

Environment is IBM ThinkPad R60, FC6 w/ all packages up-to-date via yum.
