------- Additional Comments From kimbo xtra co nz 2007-05-19 13:29 -------
Hello Mark

I appreciate your quick response.

I think that you have missed my point. I was stating that the amarok version \
(1.4.5.8) is not able to provide the user with the option to create a database \
whereas previous versions did.

I also tried to identify just where the failure occurs and if anyone who is new to \
amarok would not have the slightest idea that amarok uses a database for its \
collections.

I am still not able to connect to a database either Mysql or SQLLite - which I \
understand amarok has in its rpm as the default database. If this is the case I have \
not seen it and certainly cannot access it.

As far as accessing amarok's forum - I have tried for a long time to get an email \
activation code but every time I try nothing is ever received. I am still waiting to \
have the ability to join the forum. I have sent off messages to those who I thought \
could assist me to get my activation code but I never hear from them.

Are you able to assist me? If you are my selected user name is kimbo and my email \
address is kimbo xtra co nz

If there is any way you could see your way clear to re identify the issue I have \
raised - some idea how to achieve a work-around and if you can place my request for \
an email activation code to whoever it is that looks after the amarok forum ... I \
would be very much appreciative of your support and assistance.

Thanks Mark

Kindest regards

Kim
