Summary: Dragging event across midnight halts, modifies duration
Product: korganizer
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: korganizer-devel kde org
ReportedBy: ovit.debian gmail com
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Reported at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=308017
When dragging an event to move it, the event stops moving when it spans
across midnight, until one releases the mouse button and resumes moving
it. Also, as the event stops moving, its duration increases.
The portion of the event that can be moved across midnight as well as
the amount by which the event's length increases appears to be linked to
the velocity with which one moves the mouse when dragging.
To reproduce, in Week view or Day view, for example, create an event
beginning at 21:00 and ending at 23:00 on some day. Move the event by
clicking and holding the starting time of the event and drag it
downwards.
Dragged slowly, the event will stop moving with its starting
time set at 22:15 and its finishing time at 00:30. Even after dragged
back to before midnight, the event's duration remains increased by 15
minutes.
Dragged more rapidly, the event may end up spanning from 23:00 to
02:00--an increase in duration of an hour.
