Thanks Rich.  It's smart playlist, I believe.
I've also tried selecting certain Albums from the collection browser, and the same \
effect occurs.  So, I don't think it's the type of playlist that is the problem.

Very annoying, this thing.  It plays fine with Random disabled and Repeat Playlist \
on.  It does this problem with just random on, I have just found.  I'm going to be \
away from my pc now, so this is the last time I can give reports on settings and such \
for today.
