I'm really pleased to hear that it will be fixed in Akonadi come KDE 4.1 (comments: \
<A HREF="#c111">#111</A>, <A HREF="#c157">#157</A>). However, it would be much \
appreciated if anyone were able to give a very brief explanation as to how this will \
deal with the bug - particularly considering comments by others, including <A \
HREF="#c117">Comment #117</A>, which averred to the need for a complete re-write.

I should clarify that my post <A HREF="#c148">Comment #148</A> was actually intended \
to cover news related issues (for example kicker and kickoff crashing/being \
unresponsive) by way of relevant reporting rather than a direct complaint. Such \
report was in my view quite reasonable, as these issues are apparently directly \
caused by this bug and had not seemingly been so far reported anywhere here. The fact \
that this bug was opened in 2002, and is generally considered KDE's No 1 bug, just \
compounds matters, thus it is not unreasonable to encourage a small degree of \
discussion.
