SimpleIdeal UI in 3.4 is a tradeoff between stability and features.
Old UI could detach and overlap toolviews but was buggy.
New UI lacks detach and overlap but can save toolview positions and sizes, has code \
view splitting, is better navigatable by keyboard.

It's up to you to decide whether you want new features or not of course.
