I mean this. Before I could detach variables view, resize it as big as I like
without having to make frame stack or editor view smaller; I had frame stack
view automatically close when I switch to the editor.
The main things were:
1) panes automatically closed when editor got focus (say, if I need to open a
file, I don't need the file selector to stay on screen - I click file selector
button, double-click a file and I'm done; now I need to explicitely close it,
and no I don't have screen big enough to have file selector shown all the
time),
2) they were detachable - look at gdb view on the screenshot, the one with
variables. It isn't much better, it's much worse than before.
And before I could click that tiny "sticky" button to get current behavior (I
did it, but quite rarely comparing to normal usage of file selector and gdb
inspector window).
