The new Ui works much better than the old one. If you need to be able to easily \
switch on/off tabs, right click a tab button and assign an accelerator to it.

Not sure what you mean with editor which is four time smaller because gdb is running \
in there. And the tabs are normally not enlarging to half the screen size.
