Summary: Problem exits with hardware for Avermedia TV Card, on
shutdown the application always crashes. The sound
                    persists from the TV channel.
           Product: kdetv
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: dziegel gmx de
        ReportedBy: campion_1974 hotmail com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

There seems to be a problem relating to an analogue TV card I have installed. KDETV \
runs ok in the first instance, however I have three options under the 'video' menu. \
1. video4linux2: Avermedia M156 / Medion 2819 2. xvideo: video4linux (port 275)
3. xvideo: NVidia video interface port (port 310)

If I use option 1 as shown above, the application works ok but cannot be shut down, \
when it finally crashes and is terminated by the system the sound from the TV channel \
remains until reboot. If I use the 2nd option as shown above KDETV works but the \
quality is poorer than using the Avermedia encoder.

The 2nd problem relates to reboot, if I get this problem as described above the \
system does not shut down or reboot and hangs with a black screen.

If I use KDETV I get round this by switching the video mode prior to closing the \
application.
