Summary: Hash characters in string confuse the Python indenter
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: indentation
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: ceruleanblaze gmail com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Having a hash (#) character in a string will stop automatic indentation taking place \
as the indenter thinks that it's in a comment. For example, with Python indentation \
turned on, type the following and hit enter:

if "foo":

You should be indented on the next line. If, however, you do

if "foo#":

And hit enter, you will just be on the next line.
