Here is a patch to add AAC (via FAAC) support to audiocd:

It still needs some work.  For example, file size estimates are
incorrect.  I'm not sure how audiocd does them, so I must leave it
to you.  Also, it would be nice to choose the extension, rather than
always use .m4a as I have it.
