One possible problem: Which takes more RAM? renders faster?
A) big compressed image in .odt?
B) resized uncompressed image in working space of kmail?
Of cause B takes more space on RAM and renders faster,
but most likely the .odt is cached in the kernels file cache so retreiving
the image from it and uncompress could be acceptable...
It could be interesting what kind of performance could be archeived when
only scaling and caching images currently shown on the display.
