Summary: support starting of custom programs
Product: kdelirc
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: irkick
AssignedTo: gav kde org
ReportedBy: mail milianw de
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
IRKick is wonderful though I would love to see a possibility to configure some buttons of my remote \
control to launch a program.
It should not be that difficult because you already can assign buttons to launch one of the preconfigured \
progams (like amarok, kaffeine,...).
It would make life much easier! I could assign different programs to the same button in different modes. \
No need to mess with the `~/.lircrc`!
Oh, and if you are at it: It would be cool if one could also map the input to keys. I imagine it should \
be possible to use the KDE applet for hotkeys and bind them to irxevent or something.
Damn, I really should get startet with c++ / kde programming. There are so much things to make this great \
desktop even better!
Thanks and have a good evening - Milian Wolff
