This is intentional as it is considered to be a poor shortcut.
consider this, what happens when you have a shortcut like alt+shift+a ? If you type \
in alt+shift and then change your mind suddenly your keyboard changes. you may or may \
not realize it, lets say you don't and go to do another shortcut that ends up doing \
something completely different from what you meant, (unlikely but for the sake of an \
example) you wanted to save, but instead you do close without save.
