Ok, but please do it internally then. > A symlink to a file is not different from the real file for kdevelop. But it should be -- I don't work on a project with two files. I have tens of files opened _at the same time_ and when I open test.rb and this file is missing (in KDevelop) I don't want spend time looking through all the files and notice finally that Kdevelop opened "real" file mambo_test.rb so I was looking for the "wrong" filename. It is really counterproductive -- who has time to chase&guess "real" filenames? Conclusion: please resolve what you need, but please do it internally -- visually show the user exactly what she/he opened in place she/he chose.
