           Summary: Templates for meta data
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Metadata
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: heiner heiner-lamprecht net

Version: 0.9.1-svn / 2006-12-29 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

The idea is rather simple: The user can select certain meta data fields, define \
their content (like "Copyright" -> "(c) 2006, Konqui", ...) and save those settings \
under a dedicated name.

In the context menu of the image and of the album, there should be a submenu "Apply \
metadata", listing all those templates. By selecting a certain template, the \
configured meta data should be applied to all selected images, or all images in the \
album.

This would make meta data handling more easy, more efficient and more consistent.

Regards,

    Heiner
