Summary: autodetection of a running MPD
           Product: mediacontrol
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: mETz81 web de
        ReportedBy: damir.perisa bluewin ch

Version: 0.4 (using KDE 3.5.5, Arch Linux)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19-ARCH

as there can be only one mediacontrol in the kde-panel, it is sometimes essential to \
switch the mediacontrol media player settings between amarok / juk ... and MPD.

this switching needs opening of the control panel of mediacontrol and works fine in \
general. therefore this wish is really a minor issue.

if the music player daemon is running, it would be great that mediacontrol would \
detect it and automatically switch the settings to mpd. of course this should be able \
to be overridden by the user and it should only happen once per kde-session (at \
session startup, where mediacontrol loads into memory).

what do you think?
