------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138764 Summary: Transcoding to iPod creates temporary files in $HOME Product: amarok Version: 1.4.4 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org ReportedBy: frans.englich telia com Version: 1.4.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Compiled From Sources OS: Linux I have a collection of about 30 GBs ranging from formats in ogg to acc. For transferring my whole collection to my fifth generation video iPod, I have selected Amarok to transcode code automatically when necessary(which I presume converts files to a format that my iPod can play when necessary). I've also selected it to delete files after the transcoding. I guess the configuration dialog could use some whatsthis/tool tips, since "transcoding" is a professional term. The problem is that while doing this, it creates folders in my $HOME reading like $HOME/Satie, $HOME/Dvorak, etc. I have no idea why it does nor do I really want to know(I presume it's temp files), but I surely would like it to not use my $HOME dir for that.
