For transferring my whole collection to my fifth generation video iPod, I have selected Amarok to transcode code automatically when necessary(which I presume converts files to a format that my iPod can play when necessary). I've also selected it to delete files after the transcoding. I guess the configuration dialog could use some whatsthis/tool tips, since "transcoding" is a professional term. The problem is that while doing this, it creates folders in my $HOME reading like $HOME/Satie, $HOME/Dvorak, etc. I have no idea why it does nor do I really want to know(I presume it's temp files), but I surely would like it to not use my $HOME dir for that.
