------- Additional Comments From dd accentsolution com 2006-11-23 06:23 -------
Confirming the bug's presence on OSuse 10.1, KDE 3.5.5, SK 0.41. But in a limited \
form.

Assigning and calling the theme by its pretty name fails silently.

Calling a theme by pretty name fails always, from both DCOP (1) and callTheme \
function (2) within another theme. Calling a theme by file name (minus ".theme") \
crashes when done from DCOP (3) and SUCCEEDS when using callTheme function (4) from \
within another theme.

Calling the theme by the theme file name (minus ".theme") reliably crashes \
SuperKaramba with similarly useless report. a) dcop superkaramba-21831 default \
openNamedTheme /path/to/theme/themefile.theme prettyname 0 b) dcop superkaramba-21831 \
default themeNotify prettyname test does not call the themeNotify function in the \
theme. c) dcop superkaramba-21831 default themeNotify themefile test
crashes the application.

Using 2 themes, where one
karamba.openNamedTheme('/path/to/themefile.theme', 'prettyname', 0)
and then
karamba.callTheme(widget, 'prettyname', 'testtext')
produces no reaction in themeNotify of the called theme.
karamba.callTheme(widget, 'themefile', 'testtext')
WORKS RELIABLY.

Summary:
DCOP interface to themeNotify is unusable. Utilizing callTheme for the same purpose \
is OK. Pretty Names don't work for many dcop calls. (tried on closeTheme and some \
other... They all demand theme's file name for proper operation.)
