I'm having this bug as well from time to time. I just installed Amarok 1.4.4 and because I was having this bug I thought it might be a good idea to move away my old DB and config, but with a clean installation it happened again as well. Doing Tools -> Rescan Collection does fix it, but with the side effect of the next time (or _a_ next time?) having all tracks listed twice in my collection. Very annoying.

This is on SUSE 10.0 with Amarok 1.4.4 (but I had it with earlier versions as well), and using an sqlite database.
