Did you have a look under "Project"->"Settings"? There are several options to
disable writing of header files.

The project management of KBabel is not very well designed and partly broken,
so you often end up working with a default project. And if that fails
(because the default project is not found) you have default settings, but you
can not change them. That needs a redesign but KBabel is without a
maintainer.
