Forgive me to post a new message to an already closed report but I believe it would \
be nice to announce that if officially works (at least for me).

I've just tested ksynaptics 0.14.6a on Kubuntu 6.10 (linux 2.6.17, KDE 3.5.5) and it \
seems that now it works, althought not perfectly. Right now it is possible to disable \
the touchpad but it isn't possible to automatically disable it while typing or \
through the laptop's synaptic touchpad shortcut key. Nonetheless it works and I'm a \
happy camper :D

Thanks for the fix, people. Now it ispossible to type without needing to do some sort \
of finger gymnastics :D Kudos!
