Minimal test case

Here is a case which produces the crash, using only cmr10 and two virtual
fonts. vpl files for the virtual fonts are supplied, together with a script to
generate everything.

In this example, the dvi file calls on a virtual font which in turn calls on a
second virtual font, which in turn calls on cmr10. I needed this chain of
virtual fonts to reproduce the crash. Only one character is defined in each
virtual font.
