Summary: History in Alt-F2 dialog should exclude web-shortcuts
           Product: kdesktop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: faure kde org
        ReportedBy: bugs.kde.org pietzowski de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I really often use Alt-F2 to search for something by entering "gg:<keywords>". The \
problem now is that I often mark some word with the mose, start up that Alt-F2 \
dialog, type "gg:" and then I want to paste that word with the middle mouse button. \
But it always happens that the dialog has the comfort for auto completion (which is \
very useful if you enter some www-url again). But not in the pasting case.

So my suggestion would be that this Dialog (and maybe also the Konqui-addressbar) \
should NOT do autocompletion when the text starts with a web-shortcut. (you never \
want to search the same string again, at least very seldom).

What do you think? I cound do that job in Qt, too - if you want...

Bye
Pietz
