Summary: Creating new playlist is cludgy/complex
Product: amarok
Version: 1.4-SVN
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
ReportedBy: ahlgren mit edu
Version: 1.4-SVN (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18.1 \
dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-686
No offense by the description, but this is the process I have to go through to get a \
new playlist: [ select two items in the playlist, then right-click and select "save \
as playlist", then open the playlist and delete the two original songs from the \
playlist ]
Request (2 parts):
1) It would be nice if the Playlist Browser had an "Add">"Blank Playlist" menu item. \
(I know of many reasons people want such a thing; if you want I'll elaborate.) 2) \
Change the wording of "Add"-button>"New Playlist" to "Add"-button>"Import Playlist"; \
I thought for the longest time this was an outstanding bug (and almost reported it) \
because my new playlist would never be created or saved to the filesystem, until I \
realized this function was opening an Open rather than a Save dialog box.
