Summary: select grubs reboot slot and really boot into that stage
           Product: kdm
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: ossi kde org
        ReportedBy: ikrabbe.ask web de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Maybe it's my fault but i never got it running, that I would be able to choose the \
reboot slot from menu.lst that grub should reboot the next time, from kdm.

Actually it is nice that these items from menu.lst are displayed in a menu where I \
can select from, but actually nothing happens when I do so.

I might have forgotten something or I broke something/somewhere. But if this doesn't \
work at all there would be a really fast to implement and easy workaround due to the \
simple structure of grub.

All we need is some output to the reboot command which channel has been selected. \
Than I could easily write a script that switches the boot channel of grub and \
switches it back next time.
