I'm NOT going to exec "alsaplayer --status" every few msecs just to update the \
seeking slider. Players supported by mediacontrol either have a library, a unix \
socket or some other ipc mechanism, everything else will just hog too much cpu.

Anyway, I will have a closer look at alsaplayer soon. Just checked its cvs sources \
and libalsaplayer seems to have an API similar to the xmms one (see control.h).
