Summary: (Severe) Metadata editor: Clicking "Per Track" checkbox
more than once overwrites all composers
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.0
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: ahlgren mit edu

Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-25-686

SEVERE BUG: Can result in the corruption of much, if not all, composer metadata.

Overview:
In the metadata edit dialog, clicking the "Per Track" checkbox more than once will \
replace all composer data of all selected tracks with the current track's composer.

Steps to replicate:
1) Populate the playlist with two or more songs with different composers.
2) Select them all, right click, and select "Edit Track Information"
[The metadata edit dialog should pop up. Note that many fields are blank as they \
should be, indicating that the tracks have different artists/composers/etc. and that \
clicking "Save" won't modify that part of the metadata.] 3) Check the "Per Track" \
checkbox. 4) Uncheck the "Per Track" checkbox.
[Now note that the composer field is filled with text. Thus, hitting "Save" at this \
point will erase all the composer data of all selected songs and replace it with the \
current text of the composer field! This could be disasterous if anyone is editing \
dozens of songs at once.] 5) HIT CANCEL. Do not hit Save.

Prevention:
Steps should be taken to ensure that such a bug will not happen again if more tags \
(e.g. Performer) are supported. I say this because I've noticed the new Composer tag \
behaving differently from the regular tags, in numerous different ways (see other \
bugs).

Hope this helps prevent disaster for the unwary.
