Well, all slackware-packages made by Patrick volkerding (slackware.com official \
tree), kde.org and other sites are usually built on gcc 3.4. Are you using -current \
updates, aren't you? libc.so provided by -current updates is:
Match found in package: glibc-2.3.6-i486-3

STATUS: INSTALLED
/usr/lib/nptl/libc.so
/usr/lib/libc.so
If you need to use gcc 4.1.x series, you have to rebuilt your own kde packages. Then \
the problem isn't kde-related but it seems to be only local problem.
