Summary: plastik: Status bar / box frames make interface
cluttered. Suggest remove frame or make optional.
           Product: kdelibs
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kstyle
        AssignedTo: gallium kde org
        ReportedBy: dd accentsolution com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I the spirit of un-cluttering the interface (read: to make the Gnome-fites' incessant \
moaning about clutter in the default KDE theme stop) I would suggest to remove what \
appears to be redundant frame decoration around UI boxes, like status bar items.

The hair-line frame around the text only doubles the "frame" provided by the status \
bar widget itself. Even worse - when there is no status to display - the frames just \
hang around and clutter "white" space.

For an example of proper handling (or, proper removal) of status bar frames see \
attached screen shot with comparison of Lipstik and Plastik.

Pretty Please! Remove the frames, so the default KDE face would become more humble \
and so that G-trolls would have one less thing to poke their dirty finger into.
